Tourist destination of Arunachal Pradesh can be divided into three parts. Western, Eastern and Central Arunachal Pradesh.
Western Arunachal Pradesh is the most known places to the tourists. Tawang, Dirang, Bomdila, Bhalukpong are the part of Western Arunachal.
Most off beat destinations falls in Eastern Arunachal like Mechuka, Dong, Hayuliang, Anini, Dibang Valley. These places are still unknown to tourists.
Zero, Daporijo falls in the central part of Arunachal. A popular Zero festival held every year in Zero.
Tawang:
Tawang is the most beautiful town of western Arunachal. This place is surrounded by high hills. The most popular tourist attraction of Tawang is Tawang Monastery, which is the second largest monastery of Asia. There are nearly 300 rooms for Lamas. One can visit Bumla Pass (India-China border) and Sangetsar Lake from here.
Dirang:
Dirang is a beautiful valley situated at the western part of Arunachal. This is a small town. There is a beautiful monastery. The view of Dirang valley with beautiful river is breath taking.
Bomdila:
Bomdila is small town of Western Arunachal. This is basically a night halt station for the tourists who want to visit Tawang. There are three monasteries- Upper Monastery, Middle Monastery and Lower monastery. One may visit Chilipam Monastery from Bomdila. Chilipam Monastery is unique for its Chinese architecture.
Bhalukpong:
Bhalukpong is the entry point of Western Arunachal. One has to show his ILP/PAP here to visit Arunachal. There is a beautiful Jiavorli river flowing through the one side of the town.
Mechuka:
One of the most upcoming tourist destinations of Arunachal. This place is ideal for paragliding and hiking. All the people of Mechuka are from Memba tribe.
Dong:
Dong is eastern most village of India. This is the nearest point where India,China and Mayanmar meets. This place is still unknown to many tourists.
Hayuliang:
Hayuliang is a small village situated eastern part of Arunachal. The word ‘Hayuliang’ means’ place of respite’. This place is really beautiful and unknown to many tourists.
Anini:
Anini is situated at beautiful Dibang Valley. This is popular for its beautiful crystal clear river.
Zero:
Zero is one of the most upcoming tourist destinations of Arunachal. Every year a music festival held there.
Daporijo:
Daporijo is a small hill town situated in Subansiri district of Arunachal.
