Kinnaur Spiti Tour Itinerary For 11 Nights 12 Days

This is an itinerary of the Kinnaur-Spiti Tour, which was our (me and my wife) first journey to the Trans Himalayan range and we were mesmerized with the beauty of the nature in Himachal Pradesh.




Journey Time : June, 2016

Road towards Nako

Itinerary 

DAY 1: Reached Narkanda via Chandigarh from Kolkata at night and stayed there

DAY 2: Covered Hatu Temple and Peak then moved towards Sarahan, visited Padam Palace at Rampur on the way, Bhimakali Temple, walked around the apple orchard at Sarahan and Night Halt at Sarahan

DAY 3: Reached Rakchham via Karchham and Sangla, visited Kamru Fort at Sangla, roamed around on the bank of the Baspa River at Rakchham and Night Stayed at Rakchham

DAY 4: Started journey in the morning to visit Chitkul and also visited the last check-post on this route, arrived Kalpa via Reckong Peo and Night Stayed at Kalpa

DAY 5: Moved towards Tabo via Nako through the World’s Most Treacherous Road, visited Nako Lake and made a journey through Kasang Nala, Malang Nala and the natural sculptures, enroute visited the Gue Village also, Night Halt at Tabo.

DAY 6: Walked around the Tabo Monastery and moved towards Pin Valley, Visited Dhankar Gompa on the way, Night Halt at Mudh Village, Pin Valley

DAY 7: Enjoyed the nature at Mudh Village and started the journey towards Kaza. After reaching KAZA in the morning, we visited Ki Monastery and Kibber village, Night stayed at Kaza

DAY 8: Covered the villages Langza, Komic and Hikkim villages and stayed back at Kaza

DAY 9: Started journey towards Chandratal via Losar village and Kunzum La (Pass), visited the wonderful Chandratal and night halt at Chandratal Camp.

DAY 10: Moved towards Manali via Batal, Chhatru and Rohtang Pass, night stayed at Manali

DAY 11: Reached Chandigarh in the evening and night halt there

DAY 12: Boarded on the Jana Shatabdi Train from Chandigarh to reach New Delhi, then boarded on Rajdhani Express to reach Howrah
